Anden's Bente Babe V Gamet CDX, RE, HIC
Dennis and I had to say Goodbye to our sweet Benta after almost
eleven wonderful years with her. We knew since
last January our time with her was limited due to the onset of DM
and have cherished every extra moment we had with her.
It was easy to do with Benta.
She was such an amazing Boxer filled with an amazing spirit
and zest for life.
Benta enchanted us from the moment
she was whelped. She was born ready to get going
in the world. She seemed to know from the moment
of birth that life would be wonderful and that she didn't want to
miss a moment. Her attitude said, "Go for it!",
and she did. Before she was finished being
delivered she was already nursing! She knew what she wanted and she
went for it. She lead her whole life that way! She
always had an agenda of some sort and tackled life in her sweet, fun
loving way.
Benta was extremely athletic all
through her life and displayed excellent form in her movement
whether she was heeling, driving out into a gait or simply just
running in play. She amazed everyone with her
speed and her ability to catch her favorite toy. Her ball.
We will always remember the joy we had together when we would
go to the beach and play fetch with her ball.
She seemed to never tire as she brought the ball back again and
again. Our house was never quiet with her
unending desire to play. She was always bringing
us a ball! When no one was available to play
ball with her she would amuse herself by batting the ball here and
there or running up the stairs and rolling the ball down for a great
chase! She
always
knew how to have FUN!
I trained Benta
in Obedience and Rally. She competed in both
earning her CDX Title and her Rally Excellent Title. Working
with her brought me so much joy. On the flip side it caused me
frustration as she always kept me on my toes. I
never knew for sure what her attitude would be until we started
working. She was either right on or she was off.
It all depended on her agenda! Benta was
definitely an independent thinker! I loved her
all the more because of that.
Dennis and I are not the only ones
that miss Benta. Our Granddaughters, Kate and
Ariel were very close with her. She was such fun
for them to play with. Every time we would take
the girls to the park they would want Benta to come and of course we
had to bring her ball!
Dennis and know there will never be
another Benta for us. She was definitely a One
and Only! We are so grateful for the amazing
journey we had with her. Thank you, sweet Benta,
for all the joy you have brought us.
We are proud to share a few glimpses of her beautiful life in the
following pictures. |
